hello 40 dayers,
well, we are at the last day! There are a handful of people who will turn it in Tomorrow night or Saturday but this is it. I will be turning it in at 3pm tomorrow (friday). I have spoken to some of the others today and so many seem so full of joy. It’s been a rough last two weeks for me to get through this, so hungry, so tired and not being able to concentrate on my studies for lack of nutrition to my brain i guess. Today I feel so much joy though and I feel God’s smile, so amazing. This is like the last stretch at the Rock n’ Roll Marathon here in San Diego, the last miles are torture, and you just want to quit, but then you round the corner and see all the people cheering and you can catch a glimpse of the finish line a mile away and you keep going and when you cross that line, it’s amazing. I can almost hear all the angels cheering because they can be released to do their work and Jesus jumping up and down saying, “yes! you can do it, I’m so proud of you!”
God has taught me so much during this time. Some painful to learn and experience and others joyful. I know it’s just the beginning of great things to come and so many are looking forward to other types of fast to continue in the future. “looking forward” to fasting sounds crazy to some people, but once you experience the joy that comes and the answered prayers, it is something to look forward to. We are planning to have a dinner together in a week or two for all who fasted together and bring your family too. We may not have been able to meet in person in the fast, but I don’t doubt that in our Spirit beings, we are the best of friends and have been “hanging out” every time we’ve prayed for eachother, even though we may not have ever spoken a word to eachother in flesh. But it will be awesome for us to meet in person. We’ll just have to fly out our friends in Nashville and North Carolina who have been fasting with us to join us, lol!
After the fast, please keep praying the list. Who knows? Maybe all it will take is one more prayer for a wall to come down and if we stop it won’t. Enjoy the last day of the fast, whether it is today, tomorrow or the next. Spend time with God and let Him dote on you and just love and caress you. He’s like a proud Papa and He can’t help but want to squeeze you and make you smile :)
if some of you weren’t able to complete the forty days, don’t feel anything less but joy. a few friends told me they weren’t able to finish it, but that also they had never fasted so much within a certain time period in their life! They’d fast a couple a days one week than a every other day the next week because they knew we were still all fasting. Be joyful cause we did this together. I love you very much and I am so blessed to have the privilege of fasting together with you.
One more thing, you must check out my little nieces blog. She will be so shocked if everyone left her a message too! There is a video posted on there of my sister’s youngest son, Joshua, he’s a baby. Scroll down to the bottom of the blog and you’ll see the little baby smiling and click on it to play it. The video is called “My Little Prayer Warrior.” It is the cutest thing and when he says “help me!” so babylike and helpless sounding, I thought that must be the way we sound to God when we cry out “help me!” So helpless and small and He will just want to pick us up:)
